Introduction:
Every year ending is always something that I usually seek God's direction for the next year and typically have established a plan to meet objectives that are daily, weekly Monthly, quarterly, semiannual and annual evaluation with different milestones, thus seeking to ensure compliance with them.
At the end of this year that just ended (unlike 2009), I've noticed I've been pretty far from those goals that I raised, some were able to do, but many others were not possible and this not because they were not achievable objectives or because I do not strive to reach them, but just understand that it was not God's time to give these dreams, but despite this understanding, to make my final assessment of the year I felt a little frustrated to see that These targets are not met.
Year after year I see people touched one of your New Year's resolution is to diet and lose those extra pounds that have more, but I've also seen come to the end of the year and they continue in their same weight or in the worst cases are at a disadvantage to their expectations.
The thought of the frustration felt not to have achieved my goals and see so many people each year fail on their own plans, it made me wonder where is the error?
Arriving on December 31 we do not make a big party to receive the next year, but as a family accustomed to spend at home, had dinner together, but above all remember those things that God did this year, we sing , pray, study the word together, and so on.
Transition:
During that time God began to deal with something in my mind and my heart leading me to a passage that is well known in 1 Peter 1:6-13, allowing me to see and understand something more within the same This led me to not make plans or objectives this year, but consider a mission in 2011.
Whenever a scripture study one of the first things I do is look for the purpose of the passage and many times I realized that the way of writing of the time the order is the last thing mentioned and that, if I examine the passage of the reverse achievement understand more what you are trying to tell me the same. 1. Prophesying the future.

That is the message I gave to you who taught them the good news. And they did it with the power of the Holy Spirit was sent from heaven. This is something the angels themselves had wanted to see!
These prophets were willing to continue talking about something that they would not see or experience achieved, even that would cost the lives of many of them, but prophesied to the future, putting their trust in those facts that we have happen to us.
2. Prophesying the past with hope for the future.

Every time Christians celebrate the Lord's Supper one of the main purposes of this is to announce the Lord's death until he comes. Many believe the Lord's Supper announces his coming, but actually if you look at what Jesus left us as an ordinance to accomplish this is to announce its 2 nd coming, but his death, and not only that, it marks the time period during which we will do it until he comes, making us in the prophets to the past, as we announce an event that happened over 2000 years ago, but which we believe and we have our sights on the sacrifice made on the cross.
In part of verse 8 and 9 is mentioned as is our joy that can not be described in words, but no one mentioned that, but it is clearly mentioned that this joy comes from having our hope in him save us.
1Pe 1:9 You live happy because they know that God will save them, so trust him.
On one occasion several years ago I had the opportunity to go the cinema to see a movie that struck me, but I remember just before going to the movies one of the people I was with (who had already seen the film) commented the end of this one, so when I was watching the different scenes and none of the things that happened surprised me because I knew how it would end the story.
precisely this joy that we have, which comes from knowing the end of the film, no matter how much suffering we have to go, how our lives have abrupt changes, we know how the story ends.
In this lies some way in the verses 6 and 7 mention that our faith is tested by fire and open moments of difficulty, but when we meet at that time, our hope is found in praise and glory and honor.
We have this great privilege of becoming people who prophesy to the past, but who put their hope in the future, gaining an immense joy that no words can describe .
3. With this defined purpose.
Verse 13 is where lies the purpose for which it was mentioned above and which becomes my mission This year we're starting.
1Pe 1:13 Therefore, be alert and think well what they're doing, to always do the right thing. I am confident that God will treat you well when Jesus Christ returns.
This lists several important things and I think it gives them a sense of priorities and is therefore one another.

The first thing to do in this present purpose is defined to be attentive to the voice of God through the Holy Spirit. This was given to us in order to transform, but also lead us into all Indeed, listening to him becoming one of the most important things that the believer must learn to do.
No magic method to listen to the Holy Spirit, but one of the best ways we have to be guided by it is having fellowship with God, spending time in prayer and His Word, so we have listening ears when we will reveal something big and hidden that will not know when or simply want to lead us when we want to give peace in the midst of the problems which we live.

I think this is something that we have consistently failed, we hear the voice of God but did not examine what we're asking, do not take the time to scrutinize things and actually see what their purpose, so not switch off our brains, but we use this important part that God gave us to think.

Today I can think of that moment and I realize something, if he had not obeyed the voice (the Holy Spirit) I said stop, it is likely that this vehicle had hit and he to have that weapon in his possession would have killed me, but thanks to God who reveals himself to our lives and that through his Holy Spirit shows us all things.
This is precisely the mission that God gave to me the 2011, and to do business plans of many goals to achieve, but only: prophecy into the past (the sacrifice of Christ), putting my hope in the future (His second coming) and this defined purpose: to listen, think things through and do the right thing, knowing that he would guide me to what I have to do and their treatment is always good .
