Mirages and delusions

Some people prefer to live a lie, before to face the truth.

no doubt we are all pleased when someone points out a positive feature in our lives, makes us feel good that someone recognized those things where we have outstanding or have had some success, but few we are able to accept the right attitude when someone tries to admonish or correct us, especially if we have a position of leadership or "authority" in the place where we are.

contemporary Christian leadership in one of the strongest trends we can find, is how leaders are surrounded and surround yourself with people looking promising, only speak what is pleasing and not highlight those features that even for them is a problem.

This creates a very dangerous situation as it comes when you come off the foot of the land, locking in a sub-real world of "good intentions", which has led many to live in a "mirage of illusions, so much so that when someone is speaking the truth, are not allowed to listen to themselves.

In the book of Isaiah in Chapter 30 we found a similar trend, leaders and the people did not want to deal with the words of truth that brought them from God, but tried stop forcing visions and prophets speak pleasant things and even delusions.

Isa 30:10 For the viewers are told: "Have no more visions!", And the prophets "prophesy not follow us the truth! Tell us pleasant things, prophesy illusions.

And that is why God tells Isaiah that he sent word to them was written in a leather royo that persist and could be seen and remain as a testimony for generations.

Isa 30:8 Come, before them, and burn it in a splint. Write in a roll of leather, which in the days ahead is an eternal witness.

is sad to think that this is our present, we are in a time when the "Christian religion" (I use this term because he did not want to call church when these kind of attitudes) has reached such a degree that have "prophets" who speak illusions and leaders who refuse to hear the truth.

"Hope is the last thing that dies," is a phrase we often heard, but more than that, the promise that the Bible tells us that He will finish his work (Philippians 1:6) should to be an encouragement to us, but also a call to reflect and realize that not only is our position in Christ and the great promises that God has for us (the view of the Father), but also the cost price (the view of Jesus Christ) and the transformation required by our inner being every day (the light of the Holy Spirit).

considering only these three areas we can say we are complete in Him

Eph 4:22 With regard to life once took, they taught you that you ought to take away the clothes of the old nature which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

Eph 4:23

be renewed in the attitude your mind, Eph 4:24 and

put the clothes on the new nature, created in the image of God in true righteousness and holiness.

Eph 4:25 Therefore, leaving the lying, speak every man his neighbor with the truth, because we are all members of one body.
