The selfishness of the second coming of Christ

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Whenever global tragedies occur it is common for Christians we rise to speak of the end of the world and the second coming of Jesus Christ and the Bible to be given some signals mark the times (but not date) of all the biblical facts about the order described.

pray and yearn for his second coming and the day when we are in his presence to celebrate the marriage of the lamb, but something that catches my attention is how deeply to do this (the way we do) on many occasions demonstrate our lack of compassion for humanity, seeing it for the purpose for us is gain (Phil. 1:21-22), but not having compassion for the souls who have not yet passed from death to life.

Looking initially written the passage says that God is not slack concerning his promise, but he is patient hoping that everyone can get to know and experience a relationship with him in a personal way.

I think this reflects much of the heart of God, and he holding in his hands the times decides to extend his mercy out of love (agape) to humanity.

a couple of days ago recalled the passage in Romans 9 where Paul spoke as he felt a great sadness for his own people (the Jews) and even mentioned that would be cut off from Christ if through it could come to know God more fully understood that this is not one of his works, but God through his holy spirit.

But it's not to quit admire the heart he had for the souls both Gentiles and Jews, as he arranged his own life so that others might know a God that he had experienced road to Damascus, changed his life and leading to a constant communion with God through His Spirit.

Now the question arises: how many of us have this passion?

I think the life of the believer should sympathize deeply for the souls that are lost, even if that meant that God extended his mercy and lengthen the time of his second coming (which I think we should yearn).

My

prayer is that as believers have more love for people and in addition to long for the day when we are in the physical presence of our Lord, we pray for God to extend further the time of grace for the sake of those who are lost.

Personally, I long to be with my Lord, but I want even more to know that many people have come to know, so to say, Come Lord Jesus, I pray; Extend your mercy .

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great reward, because you have need of patience, that having done the will of God, ye might receive promise. Heb 10:35-36

Be patient as God is patient, love people with the love that God loves all people and demos for people to experience a relationship with God. We are not religious who seek their own but that are delivered by compassionate love.
